The second GRA Pool Tournament of the year was held at Orange Ball Billiards and Café in Rockville on Thursday November 20th 2008 between 7.30 p.m. and 11.30 p.m. About 50 enthusiastic Guest Researchers joining the event. At their arrival the players were randomly divided into 22 teams. Despite a few exceptions, most of the players were inexperienced and challenged their "ballistic abilities" in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

At the end of the night the tournament was won by Mark Reitsma and Nicolas Brayard in a tight final against Gaël Roberts and Christian Klacs.

The first place: Mark Reitsma (center) and Nicolas Brayard (left) receive the winner certificate from the GRA President (right).

The second place: Gaël Roberts (second left) and Christian Klacs (second right) missed the first price but, lucky them, they won a hand shake from the GRA president (first right) and, much better, a kiss from the beautiful Edith (first left).

Thanks everybody for making the GRA Pool Tournament event a big success! A special thanks to Orange Ball Billiards and Café that hosted the event by kindly providing 10 pool tables and offering bonus coupons of $50 and $25 for the first and second winners, respectively.
