The Office of International Affairs provides advice on international science and technology affairs, including the management of international programs, and the interpretation of foreign policy guidelines set by the Department of State and Commerce.

The OIAA is your direct administrative contact inside NIST. It helps you to set up your visa, your Security Social Number etc.

It used to help with the tax forms, too, although this service currently is being discontinued. The GRA is actively trying to convince the OIAA to pick up that service again.
