NIST Associates' Orientation

NIST benefits from the contributions of many people who work at NIST through a variety of special arrangements including
- Guest researchers from the U.S. and from other nations
- Contractors
- People working at NIST under Inter-Agency Personnel Act agreements (IPA)
- People working at NIST under Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA)
- Other special arrangements
All NIST Associates are invited to a half-day orientation to NIST programs and services, tailored especially for the NIST Associates. The orientation includes such topics as
- Overview of NIST- a "big picture" view of NIST's programs and impacts.
- Information about the Guest Researcher Association, designed to help guest researchers, contractors, and other NIST Associates get the most out of their time at NIST.
- Descriptions of many NIST services, including information technology resources, the NIST library and associated services, emergency services, and other important services.
- Other helpful information and resources.
