From GRA

The Guest Researcher Association (GRA) is a voluntary group of international Guest Researchers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). It was formed to help Guest Researchers, contractors, and other associates get the most out of their time at NIST and their stay in the United States. The GRA helps guest researchers by providing information as articles on many topics for/from people who are here, who are coming or who have already left.

Ice Skating Night 2011

The Ice Skating event welcomed a few ice skating first-timers as well as some new guest researchers on Friday, December 16. Pictures will be posted soon!

GRA Pool Tournament 2011

The latest GRA Pool Tournament was a roaring success.

Congratulations to Justin Gorham and Sydney Henrard on their victory.

Theirs will be the first names on the new GRA Perpetual Pool Trophy to be presented at the Dogfish Alehouse on Thursday 10 November, 5 pm.

NCW GRA Picnic 2011

Our Fall NCW GRA Picnic 2011 took place on Friday, October 14th at the Heritage Room.

This was an event jointly staged by the NIST Committee for Women and ourselves at the GRA.

Thanks to all those hard-working people from both organisations who made this event work.

Soccer Tournament 2011

Our annual Soccer Tournament took place on July 29th

This is usually the highlight of the GRA summer calendar, with a picnic into the bargain, and open to all.

The second Pool Tournament of 2010 will be held at the End Zone Bar & Grill on Monday, December 6th, 7pm. As usual, please sign up!

GRA Poker Tournament 2010 II aka October Event

The second ever GRA Poker Tournament at the End Zone Bar & Grill will take place on Friday, October 29th, starting at 6.30pm! Early signup doubles your starting chips!

Picnic 2010

The Family picnic took place in Seneca Park as planned on July 24th. It was a great BBQ and people really enjoyed their afternoon in the outdoors.

Mini Golf 2010 - CANCELLED

With the upcoming summer, it's time for a relaxing event for a change. That's why we're meeting on a sunday afternoon for a round of mini golf!
