California is one of the most famous state in the USA. Driving along its Pacific coast is incredible. From the beautiful city of San Francisco in the North down to the hispanic San Diego, you will be able to see the well known areas of Los Angeles: Hollywood, Beverly Hills (...), but also an amazing and rich nature in Big Sur.
How to get there
You can plan a trip from North to South or vice versa. A one way trip is required and you will be able to find a return ticket (DC/San Diego - San Francisco/DC, for example) at approximatly $250.
How to travel there
Renting a car is definitly the best way to travel up the coast. A one way trip is always more expensive but you can find great fares if you compare the different car rental companies. Alamo is a good choice. Compare the prices on http://www.kayak.com/cars.
