GRA Bowling Night - July 31, 2008

The GRA Bowling Night was held at 9 p.m. on July 31, 2008, at Bowl America in Gaithersburg. Many thanks to Sameer Rahatekar for the excellent event organization. The main spirit of the game was as usual intended to help new and old Guest Researchers, associates and everybody working at NIST meet each other, network and enjoy their stay at NIST. The Bowling Night gathered together 42 players and a dozen cheerful spectators. The players were divided in groups of 4-5 on 10 lanes reserved for the GRA. After a couple of “warm-up games,” the score from the following game was used to select the 10 finalists. The other players were free to keep bowling until 1 a.m. The final game was intense.

Here is the list of the finalists with nationality and final score.

  1. Mark Esser, USA, 162
  2. Aurelie Canale, FRA, 155
